Founded in 2019, Möels & Co. is proudly part of a new crop of brands reviving British watchmaking. With designer Betina Menescal at the helm of the young brand, Möels & Co. is all about fresh designs that focus on creativity, desirability, and accessibility. Now, following the award-winning Möels 528 model, the company has unveiled the new Möels 369 watch collection, available in nine captivating dials.

The Möels 369 combines a barrel-shaped case with a cushion-shaped bezel and round dial, illustrating the brand’s interest in unconventional designs. The case is fashioned from 316L stainless steel and measures 39mm in diameter, 46.50mm lug-to-lug, and 12.25mm thick including the double-domed sapphire crystal. The surface of the case is predominantly satin brushed with touches of polished edges to emphasize the various shapes throughout the construction.

Like the model that came before it, the Möels 369 watch includes a custom-designed conical and serrated winding crown that’s easy to grip and turn. Thanks to the screw-down crown and screw-down caseback, the case is water-resistant to 200 meters. Just like the front of the watch is a mix of different shapes, the caseback marries two ideas — rather than fully solid or entirely transparent, it’s a bit of both. The sapphire crystal sits on top of a perforated steel plate that hides the movement, only permitting a glimpse of the gold-plated rotor in action. The name of the watch model, which is a nod to Nikola Tesla’s belief that the numbers 3, 6, and 9 hold cosmic significance, is printed on the underside of the crystal.

The movement lying beneath the caseback is the Swiss-made automatic Sellita SW200-1b movement, providing 38 hours of power reserve and operating at 28,800 beats per hour. What’s more, the movement is fully compatible with the Caliber ETA 2824-2, making it easy and convenient to service and repair.

The dial of the Möels 369 is a minimal affair, devoid of any superfluous text or ornamentation. Instead, it’s sumptuously simple yet striking in execution, punctuated with skeletonized hour and minute hands at the center that point to intersecting ultra-thin lines that serve as the hour markers. Even the Möels inscription on the dial is placed unconventionally, encouraging a slight tilt of the head to read. Towards the edge of the dial is a subtle minute track, adjacent to curved Lumeblocks that dot the periphery. These solid blocks of lume not only charge up quicker but also last longer, providing excellent in-the-dark legibility. Depending on the specific dial, the hands, and Lumeblocks are rendered in numerous colors.

There are nine dials available within the Möels 369 collection: Dark Star, Emerald Forest, Terra Brass, Velvet Noir, Space Cherry, Heavenly, Tortuga Bay, Mauve Sauvage, and Silver Frost. All of the dials are vertically satin-brushed.

One of the highlights of the new Möels 369 watch is its integrated steel bracelet with a satin-brushed finish and polished beveled edges. The bracelet, which is 3.40mm thick, includes solid links and half links, fixed with screws for easy adjustability. At the lugs, the bracelet measures 22mm, tapering down to 18mm at the adjustable fold-over push-button clasp. The clasp includes a patent-pending loop lever mechanism for simple on-the-go micro adjustment without the need for tools.

The Möels 369 watches are available for pre-order at the pre-launch price of £800 GBP. Orders are expected to be delivered by October 2024, and the set includes one Möels 369 LE (Launch Edition) watch, one integrated stainless steel bracelet, one set of extension links (upon request), one 20mm strap adapter, and one travel watch roll.
